How I Decluttered My Head and Reclaimed My Peace of Mind

“From the moment you start tidying, you will be compelled to reset your life. As a result, your life will start to change." - Marie Kondo

On the outside, I looked like a successful hypnotherapist running an upscale clinic in Beverly Hills.

But inside my head, I was a MESS.

I was dealing with so many issues at the time, like being knee-deep in credit card debt...

...AND living out of my office after getting evicted from my apartment.

My relationships fell apart, along with my physical and emotional well-being.

With so much stuff going on, my brain went into overdrive all the time

And if I wanted to find a way out of my situation, I desperately needed to sort out the clutter in my head. There was no way I could think clearly with that much mental baggage!

But in time, I found a way to re-wire my thought patterns...

...and shorten that never-ending to-do list in my head that seemed to stretch into infinity.

And because of that, I managed to pull myself from the brink of bankruptcy, re-vitalize my business, and earn seven figures in under a year!

4 Ways I Freed Up Precious Headspace

  1. 1
    Get It On Paper

I realized that I couldn't keep all that stuff in my head any longer. So, I got a notebook and started writing down my thoughts, ideas and day-to-day feelings.
It was a HUGE relief - not only did it lighten my mental load, but I was also able to map out HOW to deal with those pressing concerns in my head.
Also, I could take a look at my priorities and find out which ones really mattered - and which ones didn't. Then I could get rid of the junk that was clogging my thoughts.
It was like having a recycling bin in my head, and I LOVED it.
  2. 2
    Release TOXIC Thoughts and Emotions

Aside from getting rid of "priorities" that weren't truly important to me, I also had to cut out another kind of mental clutter in my life.
Many of us are stuck in life because we're too bogged down in unhealthy feelings and thoughts. So, I learned to give myself quiet moments of reflection through mindfulness and meditation.
This allowed me to monitor my internal state regularly. This simple habit also gave me the choice to either let go of these toxic thoughts and emotions - or replace them with positive ones instead.
  3. 3
    Avoid Multitasking Like The Plague

I used to think that if I wasn't doing a hundred different things at once, then I wasn't productive. But it turns out that this is a counterproductive approach that actually slowed me down.
Studies show that multitasking impairs our brain's performance, reduces attention span, and ruins our focus.
So while there were times when it was simply unavoidable to multitask, I trained myself to keep this to a minimum.
What helped me a lot was to make a simple to-do list of things to work on for the day, and arranged them according to importance and urgency.
Then I focused on one task at a time and worked my way down the list. This helped my mind filter out the information that was irrelevant to my current task, and it helped me get things done FASTER.
  4. 4
    Minimize Psychological Pollution

In our fast-paced, hyperconnected world, we can access a sea of information at the speed of thought. While that's good in a lot of ways, it's also easy to get overwhelmed by it.
That's why I took a more active role in managing my personal stream of input. Doing this kept my mind from getting flooded and allowed me to focus on the important things.
So I set limits on the time I browsed social media and the Internet in general. I also unfollowed online communities, blogs, and social media accounts that were TOXIC to my mental well-being.
From then on, the only people I followed online were highly-regarded and respected.
More importantly, they had the credentials to back up their opinions.
I didn't make any room in my mind for anyone else.

2 Ways To Detox Your Subconscious NOW

1

Streamline your workplace

In time, physical clutter can turn into mental clutter.

A messy desk gradually creates pressure in the mind and it will affect everything you do on a daily basis. Research clearly shows that this hurts productivity and clarity as well.

To win the battle for your headspace, try throwing out all the non-important elements. Then designate a place for everything according to function, importance or some other relevant category.

This is a simple but powerful step that stops clutter from draining mental energy so you can get on with your day.

2

Take a Mental Step Back

The fact is that we take on too much input every day, and it silently overwhelms us on a subconscious level. So it's critical that you find ways to unload that mental baggage from time to time.

One way to release stressful thoughts and emotions is by talking to a friend, partner or family member. They can also offer some helpful insights and a different perspective on things that are bothering you.

Also, make a habit to shut off all electronics and screens by a certain time in the day, like two hours before bedtime. This keeps you from being overstimulated at night and allows for more restorative sleep.

On another note, try sneaking in one or two power naps during the day - this is a nifty way to "reset" your brain and keep it sharp.

Wake Up Calm

My Amazing Discovery

As a clinical hypnotherapist, it's my job to help people reprogram their minds so they can live happier and more productive lives.

And more often than not, my clients struggle with BLOCKS in their subconscious, which is a BIG culprit that causes unnecessary mental clutter.

Unhealthy belief systems and thought patterns create these subconscious blocks in a person's mind...

...and I've found that removing these is CRUCIAL to mental clarity and superior cognitive performance.

So, I learned that if I could somehow disrupt these negative patterns...

...then my mind would be free of distractions and allow me to focus on my work.

And the good news is that we can now open the backdoor to the subconscious mind and remove those negative blocks.

This allows a person to switch off the "auto-pilot" for those negative thought patterns, quickly and easily. And after you've disrupted those thoughts, you can make room in your mind for positive ones instead.

This breakthrough helped me go from borderline bankrupt to being a cash millionaire in less than 12 months!

Since then, I've become a well-known hypnotherapist and appeared on ABC, CNN, NBC, CBS and Bravo TV’s ‘Millionaire Matchmaker.’
