The “Victim Mentality,” according to Harley Therapy Counselling of London, England, is a mindset whereby people blame the challenges and disappointments in life on other people. In some situations, there may be blame to place but in the victim mentality there is usually little grounds to accuse others.

It’s difficult to believe you’re wrong, especially when the news comes from the mouth of someone else. There’s a reason for this, and it’s psychological. Your brain wants to protect you so, it will go out of its way to make you feel like you’re right, even if you’re wrong.

Sometimes it’s hard to stay optimistic. It’s easy to lose hope when life throws challenging situations in front of you. However, a strong individual will remain optimistic no matter the situation.

There are a lot of people in the world who just seem to be unable to get anything done – they don’t seem to accomplish anything… are you one of those people?

If you want to be a winner, then you have to look at life differently. It isn’t a race; it’s a journey and that journey will be filled with twists and turns. Up until now, you may have quit often and quickly. When you quit that much it can leave you in a rut because it feels easier to quit than to persevere. You quit without ever figuring out why or whether your pursuit even mattered. Life is more than just a job and your success hinges on more than just your job title or benefits package. If you have ideas, indulge them. Just stick with it.

Feeling good about yourself and the choices you make allows you to feel a greater sense of self-worth and confidence. There are many different actions you can take to allow you to feel better about yourself.
